Chemical Resistance PTFE Coated Silicone Or FKM Viton Rubber O Ring With Different Standard
Description:Encapsulation ring is a special combination of two different materials of the inner
and outer layers of the sealing ring. PEP or FPA for outer layer, FKM, Silicone or EPDM for inner layer.
The covering ring has good chemical resistance (equal to FFKM ring),
and can withstand more than 99% of chemical media.
Wide temperature range (-30 degree to 260 degree) can maintain good sealing performance
(stability at 23 degrees Celsius). Due to the low friction coefficient of the outer material,
the covering ring has outstanding wear resistance, and can be used for static or dynamic sealing.
Ordinary rubber O-rings are easy to wear, have poor chemical resistance and gas permeability resistance.
Pure PTFE O-rings have high hardness and can resist compression but have poor elasticity.
The O-ring covered with FEP or PFA has good swelling resistance and chemical stability
(unless it is corroded by alkali metals, fluorine and some halides at high temperatures),
and it has good elasticity near the rubber O-ring. ,
The friction coefficient of FEP or PFA is very small (only 0.08~0.2),
and it has excellent gas permeability resistance.
These properties enable the coated O-ring to be truly used in harsh environments.
