Hydrogenated nitrile (HNBR) is a highly saturated elastomer obtained by special hydrogenation treatment of nitrile rubber. It has good oil resistance (fuel oil, lubricating oil, and aromatic solvents have good resistance);And because of its highly saturated structure, it has good heat resistance, excellent chemical resistance (good resistance to freon, acid, and alkali), excellent ozone resistance, and high compression resistance deformation performance. At the same time, hydrogenated nitrile rubber also has the characteristics of high strength, high tearing performance, and excellent wear resistance. It is one of the rubbers with excellent comprehensive properties.
Application areas:
At present, it is widely used in oil fields and automobile industry.
General temperature range: -25F to 300℉
HNBR performs well in :
Automotive applications
( as O rings, timing belts, fuel injector seals, fuel hose, shaft seals, diaphagms, and in air conditioning systerms )
Oil fiels and applications
( as O rings, well-hand seals,drill-bit seals, packers,drill-pipe protectors)
HNBR does not perform well in:
Esters
Ethers
Hydrocarbons ( Chlorinated )
Ketones
