High temperature and medium perfluoroether fluorine rubber O ring
Description:
Perfluoroelastomer is a high-performance and high-priced sealing material.
So far, it is still the most expensive rubber in the world.
As perfluoroelastomer can save a lot of costs in terms of replacement, maintenance and safety,
in recent years, its application has been gradually extended to civilian fields such as electronics,
medicine, and chemical industries from the military and aerospace at the beginning of its development.
Perfluoroelastomers are not affected by almost all fluids, including fats, aromatic hydrocarbons,
esters, ethers, ketones, oils, lubricants and most acids. For example, concentrated acid
(sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, and hydrofluoric acid) can destroy most of the rubber,
and perfluoro rubber has high stability to them, but it will be affected by some strong oxidants and reducing agents.
In HCFC, CFC, Fluorine oil, chlorotrifluoroethylene oil and other media will produce swelling,
so care should be taken to avoid it during use.
Generally, rubber materials will swell to different degrees in organic solvents,
which will affect their performance. But the solvent has little effect on perfluororubber.
Therefore, perfluororubber is suitable for sealing under severe conditions.
Chemicals are common in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process.
In these devices, perfluororubber is used as gaskets for pipelines, pumps and valves.
The temperature is as high as 150℃, and the medium is a single pure solvent.
The perfluororubber gaskets used have long life, high cleanliness and low maintenance costs.
When the medium is a mixture of chemicals and solvents, it no longer has a single property like an imaginary simple fluid.
Therefore, the existence of this mixture makes the selection of rubber materials more complicated.
Someone has done experiments abroad. Under the conditions of working temperature 200℃~250℃ and
medium DOD2L285734 lubricant, the hardness, volume change rate and
weight change rate of the sealing material were tested after 120h, 336h, 600h and 1000h.
The results The test values of perfluoroelastomers are all within a narrow range.
The test values of general-purpose fluoroelastomers are several times larger than that of perfluoroelastomers,
indicating that this type of medium has little effect on perfluoroelastomers, but has a great impact on FKM.
